Wests Tigers have returned to the top two on the NRL Telstra Premiership ladder after a 33-14 victory over a spirited Raiders side to kick off Anzac Round.
The Leichhardt Oval faithful were full of energy early on, spurring on their team to two early tries and a 10-0 lead.
The momentum shifted at the 25th minute when Api Koroisau was sent to the sin bin, leading to 14 unanswered points from the Raiders while he was off the field.
That was all the visitors could muster, with the Tigers resuming their early dominance when they returned for the second stanza on the back of a commanding performance from Adam Doueihi.

Battle of the night: Tigers right winger Sunia Turuva and Raiders left winger Savelio Tamale went at it all night in an entertaining contest. Tamale, who recently asked to be dropped to build confidence, returned to first grade in storming fashion, running for 232 metres gained from 24 runs, and giving the Tigers all sorts of headaches as he busted seven tackles. Turuva had seven tackle breaks of his own, a line break and ran for 192m, ultimately having the last laugh in the final result.

Stat attack: The Tigers' middle forwards led the way in the first half, with Terrell May doing the damage up the middle. He had 89 metres gained from 11 hit-ups and made 21 tackles, while lock Alex Twal made 32 tackles on top of 63 metres gained and seven hit-ups.
Half-time: The Raiders take the lead into half-time after a topsy-turvy opening stanza at Leichhardt Oval. The home side dominated the possession and field position in the opening 25 minutes, scoring two tries, before Api Koroisau was sent to the sin bin for a hip drop tackle. The visitors converted the opportunities into all 14 of their points, giving them a four-point lead at the break.

Joe Roddy is set to replace veteran forward Josh Papalii after the Samoan star was struck down with a calf injury. Noah Martin also gets his chance to start in the back row, with Hudson Young suspended.
