Sea Eagles: Former Bronco Kobe Hetherington is set to come into the starting side in place of Siosiua Taukeiaho (calf). Hetherington had a disrupted pre-season but made his club debut off the bench in the Round 1 loss to Canberra. Centre Tolu Koula is looking to keep a remarkable try-scoring streak alive, having crossed the chalk in 10 consecutive games at 4 Pines Park. Simione Laiafi and Jackson Shereb dropped out of the squad 24 hours before kick-off.

Knights: Sandon Smith will wear the No.6 jersey after Fletcher Sharpe suffered a knee injury in Las Vegas. Tyson Frizell has been named to start at lock but could be set for another late switch with interchange forward Mat Croker. No other changes to a settled squad looking to make it two on the trot to start the year. History is against the Knights, however, with Newcastle winning just four of 23 games at 4 Pines Park. Tyson Gamble and James Schiller came out of the squad in the 24-hour update.

Dolphins: One change in Saturday's 24-hour update, with Sebastian Su'a dropping off the bench and Brian Pouniu added to the interchange in jumper No.22. Lewis Symonds remains in the extended squad as 20th man. Max Plath is set to complete his comeback from an ACL tear via the interchange after making a successful return to the field in Queensland Cup last week. Brad Schneider again starts at hooker while Ray Stone is in the mix for his first game of the season and has been listed on the bench. The Dolphins have won five of their six games against Gold Coast and they're looking to keep that going on Sunday night.

Titans: The Titans also have a late change, with Jensen Taumoepeau added the the six-man bench and in the mix for an NRL debut. Zane Harrison drops out of the squad and will travel to Cairns to play Queensland Cup. Sam Verrills is on track to take his place in the team despite suffering a sternum injury in last Saturday's loss to the Sharks.
